Although tropical dry forests all generally have low annual rainfall (below 2000mm) and high annual temperatures (above 17 Celsius) , there are still differences among regions which has caused a unique biodiversity to form in each. This difference stems from each eco-systems unique micro-climate which can be caused by a number of variables, such as aspect to the sun, soil make up, or channeling of wind currents from a mountainous region.
